Snow, dancing and playing for ice cream!

Today was really busy!

Ori took some pictures with some cool new toys...he might be on the box...or might not...they are cool toys though! I thought he would enjoy playing with toys and getting his picture take and having the emphasis put on him...his sisters just get so much attention! I was right he loved it and he got $10 of Walrus ice cream bucks for it! Bonus! Oh here is the link...

Its super cold and snowy but it is really pretty. Ori was totally grown out of his snow suit so we went to get some new (used) snow pants. he picked out a pair of purple ones...They are totally girly but he wanted them so whatever...as long as he wears them is all i care about.

Laurelle also had Celtic Christmas today...she did great1 It was really fun to watch all thse girls i have been watching for 8 years...thye all looks so grown up!

My new washer and dryer was delivered today!

And after two loads...the dryer stopped working.

No I'm not kidding...it quit

so lets recap; Had a washer/dryer/ had the repair guy out 3 times before Best Buy decided it wasn't fixable and labeled it a "lemon" and replace it (up to three weeks now-no washer/dryer...so fun with cloth diapers!), I pick out a new set, wait another week for them to be delivered, wash a load of laundry stick it in the dryer...and nada...no heat! Only air!

Oh and Brice got in trouble for calling in sick to work to take care of the kids when I had a migraine on Thurdsday. WTF! I hate that fucking place! He needs a new job where they owner/manger doesn't feel like its his job to babysit complete adults. And how is it an unexcused absence if you call in 8 hours before you are supposed to work? If he had lied and said he was sick, it wouldn't be unexcused but since he said I was sick and he had to take care of the kids instead of work...he was just skipping.

Don't even get me started on what that says about the job of parenting!

On a good note, we had family photos taken on Tuesday and they turned out so great! check them out!

It really sucks....

No more gadgets for me

It all started when my old car, a 2001 Prius completely blew the electric motors (a problem never seen before in a hybrid) and it had to be replaces...then my high tech dishwasher died closely followed by my new fridge's ice maker!

Well, my all-in-one washer/dryer has been deamed unfixable by Best Buy (we bought th extended service plan thank goddess) and so becasue of this, we get a brandy new one...

Except....


Wait for it....


it is no longer being made!


Great so now I have to pick out a new set, and install a dryer vent in the roof. No one else that Best Buy carries makes a condensing dryer and LG doesn't make one that is stand alone. I really wanted to keep my condensing dryer though...it uses way less energy than a standard dryer and is way better for you clothes.


So I started doing the research and found out that besides the European appliance makers, pretty much everything is made by Whirlpool or LG, regardless of the brand name. So after this exsperice with LG and knowing that Whirlpools aren't the best either...I figured does it really make an difference? No not really...so I went and go a Samsung set. It has a vibration reduction thing so that is very good for our crazy house floor, is as big as the one that died and spins just as fast. And it has an internal water heater for a sanitary cycle for my cloth dipes! It has this crazy Silver Care thing that puts silver into the water to sterilize the clothes and I was worried about my diapers getting silver build up (since diapers are washed a whole lot more than normal clothes, three times a week at least) but you can turn it off so no diaper build up!

They will here on Friday...so Thursday morning, weather permitting , we will be installing the vent in the roof! Wish us luck!

Setting up a blog as metaphore for life

Well not really but I was trying to figure out some sort of witty geniuses to add. Of course I came up short since most of my wit is accidental in the first place.

Why I am jumping on this bandwagon called "blogging"

I send out emails every few weeks with pictures of my kids but I don't really talk about us beside a little snippet. Plus I thought it might be fun for me to re-read this later on when my kidos are a lot older.
Plus, I need something else to help me put off house cleaning further on a daily basis...MDC just isn't doing it any more!
